Frequently Asked Questions
Who do I contact if I have any questions?
Please contact our team at hello@fitformer.com.au with any questions — we'd love to hear from you!
—
what are the class prices?
Please find the current pricing for individual classes and packs by downloading the Fit Former app.
—
How can I cancel a class?
If you're cancelling more than 12 hours out from your class, you can simply cancel in your app and receive a credit, which can be used in the next fortnight for another class.
If you're cancelling less than 12 hours before your class start time, you will unfortunately forfeit the cost of your class (scroll down to read more about why we charge cancellation fees) — you can however still make this cancellation in your app.
No-shows: If you don't attend a booked class and haven't cancelled, a $15 no-show fee will be charged. To avoid this, please always cancel in your app as early as you can so someone on the waitlist can take your spot.
—
What can I expect?
Arrive a little early to come and unwind in our beautiful reception space. When it's time for class, you'll enter the Reformer Room, which is all blacked out and has a real 'get shit done' vibe. This is where the hard work happens and the excuses go out the door. We can't wait to support you through the challenge with some good vibes, loud music and plenty of sweat. You'll leave with an incredible sense of accomplishment and a rush of endorphins.
Class finishes with a stretch and a cool scented towel. After our heated (hot) classes, you'll also enjoy a complimentary wellness drink. You'll leave already looking forward to your next class!

How is this different to being one of Candy’s personal training clients?
The Fit Former studio is Candy’s way of extending her style of training to a larger community. She is inundated with requests to join her personal training sessions every day and with a waitlist, it became really disheartening having to continually turn people away. Now with Fit Former you can train the same way!
Candy will continue to operate from her original business studio, and Fit Former will now operate from this new studio.
—
Where is the studio?
You can find us in the Walton Stores precinct at 470 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba City, which you can access through Ruthven or Annand Street. Look for the Fit Former sign in the alleyway that connects both streets — across from our friends at Bodega, and above Tailgate.
—
Where Should I Park?
We highly recommend parking in one of the below areas:
Street parking in Ruthven Street near the Walton Stores entry
In either of the large car parks in Annand Street across from Walton Stores
Street parking in Annand Street across from Walton Stores
If you are attending a class throughout the day be sure to check you have paid for your parking (where applicable), otherwise these areas are free for a lot of our peak class times (early morning, nights and some parts of the weekend).
—
Will Candy run the Fit Former classes?
Candy runs some classes each week, which will be shown on the timetable. She has personally trained up an amazing team of instructors to deliver her Fit Former method, so when you book with one of our trainers you'll still receive a 'Candy-curated class' — run by an experienced reformer Pilates trainer who has trained with Candy for at least a year on the Fit Former style, on top of their reformer Pilates qualification.
—
What qualifications do the trainers have?
All our trainers have, at a minimum, completed a reformer Pilates course and one year of training in Candy's Fit Former method. Basically, they're pros! Head to our Our Team page to meet the trainers and read more about their qualifications.
—
Why do you charge late cancellation fees?
We understand that circumstances can change and things don't go to plan, however, late cancellations and no-shows can have a significant cumulative impact on a service business. Our late cancellation period was created to offset some of the costs incurred in such a scenario, and to ensure we can continue to attract and retain the best team members, in order to offer our clients the highest level of service.
As long as you cancel your class outside of the 12 hour window leading up to it, you will receive your money back as a credit on your account. But, if you cancel within the 12 hour period prior to a class starting you will unfortunately forfeit that booking fee. If you don't show up to a booked class at all, a $15 no-show fee will be charged.
A large percentage of our classes have waitlists, so our cancellation period allows the people on our waitlist time to book their session whenever there is a cancellation.
We don't offer refunds under any circumstance at Fit Former, and will only offer credits to your account as long as your cancellation is within our cancellation policy.

Which services can I claim on my private health?
Unfortunately, as Fit Former isn't clinical Pilates, it is not claimable on private health insurance. But regardless, you're making a great contribution to your health, which is insurance too!
—
What should I wear and what should I bring?
Wear comfortable activewear that allows for free movement, as well as socks with grippers or non-slip soles. We sell these socks at the studio if you don't already have a pair — you can purchase via the app and pick them up at your next class!
Bring a towel that is large enough for you to lie on and a water bottle. We also sell reformer mats, which can be used in place of a towel. Find these on the app or in-studio.
Basically — a towel and socks are requirements for your class!
—
I’m pregnant - which classes can I attend?
If you have been actively training in this way before you were pregnant, you'll generally be able to train throughout your pregnancy but only on the advice of your doctor. We recommend seeking advice from your medical team before you take a class. Please note that it is not advised pregnant women participate in any of the heated classes.
Similarly, if you have recently had a baby you will need to first gain the all clear from your doctor before undertaking any classes. We highly recommend seeing a post-partum experienced physio prior to starting also.
—
Can I bring my children to class?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate children in any classes in the Fit Former studio, due to class sizes and insurance cover.
—
Are there any age restrictions on attending class?
You must be 16 or older to attend a regular Fit Former class unsupervised. We also welcome 12–16 year olds to get started through our FF Teens program — reach out to our team at hello@fitformer.com.au for details.
